Clay Nordsiek joined Bellatti, Fay, Bellatti & Beard in 2018 as an associate attorney.
Mr. Nordsiek graduated summa cum laude from Illinois College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At IC, his major was Management and Organizational Leadership and his minors were Economics, Spanish, and History. He also served as a Student Marshall, was inducted into the Phi Betta Kappa honor society for liberal arts, and was chosen as a baccaulareate speaker.
Mr. Nordsiek then attended the University of Kansas School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2017. At KU, he served as an editor on the Kansas Law Review, a student managed legal publication, for two years, and he earned awards in several courses for receiving the highest overall grade. Upon graduation, he received the honor of Order of the Coif for graduating in the top 10% of his class.
During law school, Mr. Nordsiek clerked for Bellatti, Fay, Bellatti & Beard in the summer of 2015, after having met partner attorney Tom Veith as a professor of his Business Law course at Illinois College. He also clerked for the City of Olathe, Kansas in the summer of 2016.
After law school, Mr. Nordsiek passed the Kansas Bar Exam in July of 2017, and he remains licensed in Kansas. He also was honored to clerk for a federal bankruptcy judge in the Western District of Missouri (Kansas City) from May of 2017 through the summer of 2018. Mr. Nordsiek then passed the Illinois Bar Exam in July of 2018 and became licensed in November.
Mr. Nordsiek was raised on a farm outside of Arenzville, attended Triopia (graduating class of 2010), and is familiar with many of the communities in Cass and Morgan Counties and throughout the surrounding area. He is excited to return home to provide legal services as a general practitioner.
