Clay Nordsiek joined Bellatti, Fay, Bellatti & Beard in 2018, and became a partner attorney effective January 1, 2020. Mr. Nordsiek is a general practitioner, regularly assisting his clients with a wide variety of legal issues and taking the time to build strong working relationships.
Mr. Nordsiek attended the University of Kansas School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2017. At KU, he served as editor on the Kansas Law Review, a student managed legal publication, for two years, and he earned awards in several courses for receiving the highest overall grade. Upon graduation, he received the honor of Order of the Coif for graduating in the top 10% of his class.
During law school, Mr. Nordsiek clerked for Bellatti, Fay, Bellatti & Beard in the summer of 2015, after having met partner attorney Tom Veith as a professor of his Business Law course at Illinois College. He also clerked for the City of Olathe, Kansas in the summer of 2016.
After law school, Mr. Nordsiek passed the Kansas Bar exam in July of 2017 and was honored to clerk for a federal bankruptcy judge in the Western District of Missouri (Kansas City) from May 2017 through the summer of 2018. Mr. Nordsiek then passed the Illinois Bar Exam in July of 2018 and became licensed that November.
Prior to law school, Mr. Nordsiek attended Illinois College, where he graduated summa cum laude in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. At IC, Mr. Nordsiek majored in Management and Organizational Leadership, served as a Student Marshall, and was inducted into the Phi Betta Kappa honor society for liberal arts.
Mr. Nordsiek was raised on a family farm outside of Arenzville and attended Triopia (graduating class of 2010). He is familiar with many of the communities in Cass and Morgan counties and throughout the surrounding area, and he is excited to continue building his practice by serving clients from his home community.
